Proportional Grading
This operation is used to provide equal series values on the X and Y axes of the Cartesian coordinate system for the part.
- In the Pattern Design screen, the Proportional Series
icon is clicked from the Series menu.
- The part point where the series will be applied is selected with the mouse, and the series direction is determined by the mouse movement.
- After the direction is selected, the desired series value is entered into the Series Value window that opens.
To add a series value in a different direction to the same point, the direction is reselected with mouse movement, and the series value is entered. Series values can be entered in a maximum of two directions: (+X or -X and +Y or -Y).
This process is applied to all points where a series is to be assigned. Points without an assigned series will automatically receive a series value between two series points.
For points that should not receive a series value, a Fixed Value (Sbt) is assigned by pressing the "S" key on the keyboard. (0:0)
