Add Dart

In the Pattern Design screen, follow these steps to create a dart on a piece line:

1.) In the Pattern Design screen, click Dart > Add Dart  

2.) On the piece line, select with the mouse the point where the dart will be folded, and the Add Dart window opens. (The dart line opens symmetrically to the right and left of the selected point.)

Width: The length value that will be divided equally to the right and left of the dart point. (For example, if the dart width is entered as 4 cm, two points of 2 cm each are added to the right and left.)

Length: Determines the perpendicular distance inside the piece from the selected dart point. (For example, 9 cm)

Direction: After the dart is opened, selects whether the folded part of the piece will lean to the left or to the right.

Fold Over: When checked, the folding allowance created after the dart is opened is applied to the piece; when unchecked, the folding allowance is not applied and the dart line remains straight.

Drill Point: When checked, a Drawing or Cutting point is added at the intersection of the dart line inside the piece.

Drill Feature: Selects whether the punch point will be a drawing point or a cutting point.

Punch Diameter: Defines the diameter value of the cutting or drawing point.

4.) After all settings are completed, select Ok to add the dart to the piece.

 The dart allowance is not applied to the pattern during this process. The pattern should either be prepared with the dart allowance included, or the allowance should be added at the appropriate part of the pattern.

Edit Dart

With Edit Dart, desired modifications can be made to an existing dart.

1.) In the Pattern Design screen, click Dart > Edit Dart  

2.) Click the dart to be modified.

3.) In the Edit Dart window (same as the Add Dart window), make the desired changes.

4.) Confirm with Ok.
